# 2 Self Report - Measurement and Evaluation System


You Need to Struggle to Achieve!


Every year, at the beginning of the school year,  USHS holds an orientation for about three days at the Gymnasium for all the students, from grade seven until grade twelve. They would be given some general knowledges about the school, and other informations  like the tips to overcome natural disasters, etc. In this section also, the school explaines the rules and grading system to the students.  

In USHS, Learners from Grades 1 to 12 are graded on Written Work, Performance Tasks, and Quarterly Assessment every quarter. 
Written work, Performance Tasks, and Quarterly Assessment every quarter are given spesific percentage weights that very according to the nature of the learning area. For example:
  • For the Junior High School Students

  • For the Senior High School Students


As for the report card, they also explained  it to the children, including the appearance and the grading scales in them. Both Junior high  and Senior High School students have about nine subjects, and each subject has one unit credit, they would have about nine units

For the attendance percentage, the total number of school days for the S.Y. 2018 – 2019 is 201. The allowed number of absences given by DepEd is 20% of it.

Beside the academic score for the students’s observed value, they also have students's main value points to be observed:

  • For Senior High school Students

The principal said that they held this orientation in the beginning of the year to explain the rules and grading system in USHS to the students, in order to make them understand about what they are going to face in the future, what goals that they have to achieve, and what kind of the preparation that they have to do.
